Does the seller or MWPS provide warranty?

NEW EQUIPMENT All new products sold by MWPS are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty programs and subject to the manufacturer's terms & conditions. All warranty claims must be requested and processed directly with and through the manufacturer’s warranty support.

MWPS will gladly assist you with processing warranty claims for items purchased from us. We can also assist and direct you with any replacement parts or accessories you may need to order.

Please note: Improper installation or operation of your wind turbine will null and void your manufacturer warranty. Your system must be installed by a qualified installer. Wind turbines, like other sources of electrical power, must be installed following the guidelines established by your state/province and local regulations. Consult a local electrical contractor or the local planning and zoning office for details and regulations.

Warranty Periods

Most wind turbines come with a standard 1-2 year manufacturer warranty. The exact length of the warranty will be shown on your final invoice for the products purchased from us. Various extended warranties are also offered by the majority of our manufacturers. Extended warranties must be bought at the time of your wind turbine order. Please inquire about prices on extended warranties by contacting us via email.

SECOND HAND & USED EQUIPMENT

MWPS only sells second-hand or used equipment of specific makes and models which can change at any time (please inquire about our current list) mainly provides a brokering service for used and second-hand equipment by introducing buyers and sellers to complete a purchase transaction. Therefore MWPS can not provide any warranty on second-hand or used equipment.

Used wind turbines are usually put up for sale by an owner after approx. 10 years or more in operation and therefore, a warranty can also not and will not be given by the seller as the equipment's manufacturer warranty would already have expired during its time of operation. Standard manufacturer warranties are usually given for no more than 2 years from the date of purchase and used or second-hand equipment is unlikely to be put up for sale within only 2 years of purchase. In the event that a warranty can or will be given by a seller of used or second-hand equipment (refurbished or rebuilt equipment), then this will be clearly indicated in the relevant advert.

In the event that a seller is selling his used equipment still under warranty and within the manufacturer's warranty period, the manufacturer's terms & conditions usually exclude liability for the warranty given to any third party other than the initial buyer.

REFURBISHED EQUIPMENT

Some of our advertised equipment is offered by our sellers in 'refurbished' condition which means that main parts, which are subject to worn and tear (ball bearings, etc) had been replaced and are either new or refurbished or and a cosmetic overhaul has been undertaken.

However, a warranty on refurbished or rebuilt equipment is usually for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase and in most cases limited only to new parts, refurbished parts and workmanship on a back-to-supplier basis. (Buyer is responsible for shipping the defective part/s to the manufacturer). Some sellers of refurbished equipment only provide a warranty in connection with an additional service and maintenance contract for the equipment purchased. Such 'refurbishing' sellers can often also provide an extended warranty in connection with a service & maintenance contract for the same extended period. Please refer to the advent of the equipment you are interested in and see if the equipment is in 'refurbished' condition and if it is sold with a warranty.

REMANUFACTURED EQUIPMENT

Some of our advertised equipment is offered by our sellers in 'remanufactured' condition which means the equipment is completely overhauled, all major parts replaced and new and in most cases, the equipment been brought up to the latest technology available and technically updated (controllers) and is in superior condition than the equipment when it was originally purchased. such equipment always comes with a warranty with a minimum of between 1 to 2 years from the date of purchase and in some cases up to 5 years and beyond in connection with a service & maintenance contract for the same period.
