This little DIY wind power generator set produced by Tamiya and Loopwing’s lets you create your very own clean energy at home for just under $30. It takes about a half-hour to assemble the parts. It has two gears, a capacitor and the steering on the little car as well as the windmill charging station. Once assembled, you just have to stick the set outside your window and let it charge up. It’s also very small and portable enough that you could even go for a jog with it, expediting the charging process
This set of five minutes of exposure to 5m/sec winds will give you 3.5 hours of running time. It’s a very cool little toy in our opinion and the concept could lead to much more useful/diverse uses of wind power in the near future.
