Nordex Doubles Sales in Germany

Nordex, one of the leading turbine manufacturers has more than doubled its volume of sales in Germany. It has installed a combined capacity measured in terms of the new installed capacity of wind farms for the first half of 2013 of 109MW. Onshore, the company has achieved around an 11% share of the market for the first time.

Nordex says that in general, the German wind power market is continuing to grow this year, expanding by almost 14%. In the future, wind-produced electricity may become even cheaper and as a result, Nordex has developed a new generation of turbines offering more efficient electricity production.

Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, a Nordex management board member said:

“It is foreseeable that many of our customers will be developing more areas in coastal regions or at elevated locations, that is why it was important for us to install the first new Delta Generation turbines in Schleswig-Holstein in the first half of 2013, meaning that we can now devote all our attention to sales and marketing.”
